Configuration

Open Extensions → My extensions → Gift Wrap & Messages → Configure. Settings can be set globally or per sales channel.

Default message maximum length

This is the fallback limit for wrapping options that do not have their own Message maximum length. Set a positive value to show a counter and limit input. Leave it empty or set it to 0 when no fallback limit should apply.

An option-level limit always takes precedence over this value.

Show gift wrapping form in cart

Controls the form used to add another wrapping from the cart and offcanvas cart. Disable it when wrapping must be selected only on the product page. Existing selected wrapping remains visible and can still be reviewed.

Show gift wrapping on confirmation and order pages

Controls whether selected wrapping is shown on checkout confirmation, order completion, and customer account order pages. These pages are read-only: customers cannot add, remove, or change wrapping there.

Recommended first configuration

Keep the order-page setting enabled. Enable the cart form only when customers should be able to decide after adding a product to cart. Use a fallback message limit such as 500 only if your fulfilment process has a practical limit.
