Installation

Install and activate

1. Open Extensions → My extensions in Administration.
2. Install Gift Wrap & Messages.
3. Activate the plugin.
4. Clear the Shopware cache.
5. Build storefront and Administration assets if the plugin was installed from source or updated locally.

After activation, open Marketing → Gift wrapping. The module is empty until you create the first option.

Update or deployment checklist

When deploying an update, run the plugin migration through the normal Shopware update process, clear cache, then rebuild the affected assets. Test one product page, cart, offcanvas cart, checkout confirmation, and an Administration order before deploying to production.

Uninstallation

Uninstalling the plugin removes its plugin data, including wrapping options and their product-stream mappings. Existing orders retain their historical order line items. Export or document option settings before uninstalling if you need to recreate them later.
