Customer journey
On an assigned product page, customers build their book in the visual configurator.
Build the book
- Select a front cover and a back cover.
- Choose a page template for every visible internal slot.
- Add a two-page row or a full-width double-page spread when those actions are available.
- Remove unnecessary rows before purchase.
- Enter the required personalisation name when the product enables it.
The information panels show selected page count, minimum page count, and maximum page count. Each selected template contributes its own price, and the displayed product total updates as pages are selected or removed.
Validation
The buy button stays disabled until all current cover and page slots are filled and the configured minimum is reached. The maximum prevents additional rows. A double-page spread counts as two pages for these limits.
The configured result is submitted with the product line item. Each configured book gets a distinct line-item identifier, so differently assembled copies of the same product can be kept separate in the cart.
