Organise scenes with categories
Organise scenes with categories
Shop The Look categories are separate from Shopware navigation categories. They are used to organise scenes into visual collections without changing your shop's existing menu or catalogue structure.
When to create a Shop The Look category
Create one when customers should browse a group of related scenes, for example:
- Living room, bedroom and dining room inspirations.
- Seasonal collections such as Spring/Summer or Christmas.
- Brand, style or campaign collections.
- A curated group for a landing page.
Assign scenes to a category
Create the category in the Shop The Look administration area, then open each relevant scene and add the category in its category assignments. A scene may belong to several categories when it is genuinely useful in more than one collection.
Do not duplicate a scene only to place it in another category. Reusing the same scene keeps its image and product assignments consistent.
Show a category on the storefront
Use the Category CMS element to show one selected visual category, or the Category list CMS element to show several collections. The exact selection is made in the element configuration inside the Shopping Experience editor.
For a strong landing page, combine a category list near the top with individual scene or scene-slider blocks further down the page.
