Maintenance and updates

Shop The Look content should be reviewed alongside catalogue changes, product availability changes and Shopware updates. A short regular check keeps visual content useful rather than outdated.

Before updating the plugin

1. Read the release notes supplied with the plugin version.
2. Create a database and file backup using your normal Shopware deployment process.
3. Update on staging first when the shop has custom theme changes or custom plugin extensions.
4. Clear the Shopware cache after the update.
5. Test one scene, one scene bundle and one catalogue in the storefront.

Review catalogues regularly

Catalogues can have an active date range. The plugin includes automatic expiry handling for catalogues, so expired campaign material does not remain available by accident.

Review active catalogues before a campaign ends. Either extend the date range, replace the catalogue with a new version, or let the catalogue expire intentionally.

Keep media under control

PDF pages are converted into image files for the flipbook. Large PDFs and unnecessarily high conversion resolution can consume significant disk space. Remove outdated test catalogues and use a sensible resolution for the expected visitor device.
